The benefits of a furniture lift for your move

Your furniture won’t fit down the stairs? The building’s lift is too small? The furniture lift (or ladder lift) solves many problems. Here are its main benefits.

What is a furniture lift?

It’s a vehicle fitted with a motorised ladder and a platform, used to bring furniture, appliances or any other load up or down through a window, balcony or terrace. At Ôlift.be, the lift is always provided with its operator.

1. Everything goes through the façade

Sofa, wardrobe, fridge, washing machine or dryer, light piano, building materials: whatever won’t fit through the stairs or the lift goes through the façade. Our lift serves the 1st to the 9th floor; higher up, contact us to check feasibility.

2. A huge time saver

No more carrying every piece of furniture down the stairs. Loads go up and down continuously, which greatly shortens the move. And since the lift is charged by the hour, saving time also means saving money.

3. Less risk for your belongings and the building

Furniture no longer scrapes against walls, banisters or doors. The risk of damaging your belongings or the common areas (stairwell, lift) is greatly reduced, which avoids plenty of discussions with the building manager or landlord.

4. Less effort, more safety

Carrying heavy loads on stairs is the leading cause of injury during a move. With the lift, the effort is limited to placing items on the platform and collecting them. No need to drive the machine: the trained operator sets up the lift, marks off the area and checks every load.

5. A cost-effective solution

The lift reduces the number of people and hours needed. At Ôlift.be, it starts at €65 excl. VAT per hour, i.e. €78.65 incl. VAT, for the 1st to the 5th floor in Brussels, operator and insurance included. See all our prices.
