Furniture lift + rental van: move yourself without carrying anything up the stairs

Would you rather rent a van yourself and move with family or friends? A good way to keep your budget under control. But as soon as you live on an upper floor, the stairs become the real problem: a sofa that won’t fit, a fridge that’s too heavy, a damaged stairwell and a sore back. Why combine a lift with your own vehicle?

How does it work in practice?

1. Request your free quote, giving the address, the floor, the date and the fact that you are coming with your own vehicle.

3. On the day, the Ôlift.be operator arrives at the agreed time and sets up the lift in front of the window or balcony.
4. You load upstairs, the lift brings furniture and boxes down to street level and you pack them into your van. At the destination, the same in the other direction.

How much does it cost?

The lift is charged by the hour, operator and insurance included, Monday to Saturday in Brussels:

• 1st to 5th floor: €65 excl. VAT, i.e. €78.65 incl. VAT per hour;
• 6th floor: €75 excl. VAT, i.e. €90.75 incl. VAT per hour;
• 7th floor: €85 excl. VAT, i.e. €102.85 incl. VAT per hour;
• 8th floor: €95 excl. VAT, i.e. €114.95 incl. VAT per hour;
• 9th floor: €110 excl. VAT, i.e. €133.10 incl. VAT per hour.

Beyond the booked time: €40 excl. VAT, i.e. €48.40 incl. VAT per 30-minute block. Sundays, public holidays and outside Brussels: on quotation. Our tips for a smooth move

• Choose the right van: 12 to 20 m³ is often enough for a studio or a one-bedroom flat.
• Be ready before the lift arrives: boxes closed, furniture dismantled and gathered near the window. Every minute counts.
• Plan at least two people: one upstairs to load the lift, one downstairs to receive everything and load the vehicle.
• Check the access: a wide enough window or balcony, no cables or trees in the way. If in doubt, send us a photo of the façade with your quote request.
